Massacre at the Carnival I love the effect of the ascending/descending notes at 1:21-1:32. I also love the timpani in this song. Overall, this does a great job of capturing the essence of a dark circus or theme park.

Lost in the Dunes This is a really cool song. As someone who’s dabbled with timpani in the past, I approve of the solo. I think the timpani is generally a very under-appreciated instrument. I’ll always give people extra credit for recognizing the importance of the timpani in orchestral music. :)
